A folyószámlához tartozó hitelkeret egy lehetőség, hogy folyószámla egyenlegünk „mínuszba menjen”.
A hitelkeret előnyei:
- egyszerű és rugalmas
- folyamatosan rendelkezésre áll, bármikor felhasználható
- kitűnő eszköz az előre nem látható finanszírozási igények áthidalására
- bármire el lehet költeni
- nem feltétlenül kell hozzá fedezet
A hitelkeret hátrányai:
- általában ez egy drága hitelfajta
- jellemzően alacsony az értékhatára,
Összességében tehát a hitelkeret optimális eszköz az előre nem látható, rövid lejáratú finanszírozási szükséglet fedezésére.
Folyószámla hitelkeretet célszerű annál a banknál igényelni, ahol a bankszámlát vezetjük. Ha a bank ezt elutasítja, vagy nem a szükséges mértékű hitelkeretet ajánlja fel, vagy egyszerűen túl drága a felajánlott hitel, akkor megfontolandó lehet körülnézni és más banknál is érdeklődni.
